Cast: Rahat Kazmi, Marina Khan, Badar Khalil, Qazi Wajid, Arshad Mahmood, Sajid Hassan, Lateef Kapadia, Ishrat Hashmi & Rizwan Wasti
Description:Well, what can one say- the theme of her plays, the cast, direction, everything stands out. No other writer has such a large following as Hasina Moin does and justifiably so.
Marina Khan made it big in Tanhaiyan but this was the play that established her as a versatile actress who could enact comedy scenes & serious ones with equal ease. Rahat Kazmi plays the male lead in this play, which is directed by his wife, Saira Kazmi.
The plot revolves around these two characters, both working as doctors in the same hospital. Rahat Kazmi (Dr. Ahmer), plays an orphan raised by actor/singer Arshad Mehmood. They share a father-son relationship and are extremely close- they build a house together- their dream house, however, at his deathbed, Arshad Mehmood, in his will, leaves their dream house to his niece. This act shocks Dr. Ahmer, who then makes it his personal ambition to buy the house back from the niece, whom he has never seen and whom he now hates more than anything else in the world.
The niece is played by Marina Khan (Zoya), who falls for Dr. Ahmer and vice versa. Both are blissfully unaware of each other's true connection to each other. It's all downhill at a rapid pace when the identities are exposed.
What will Dr. Ahmer do now? Will he accept Zoya regardless of who she is? Will he be able to suppress years of hatred and anger that he has over time accumulated for Zoya?
Watch the play & find out.
Comic relief is provided by Sajid Hassan - his role in this play paved the way for many more such comic roles for this great actor.
