Mehmood Ali has passed away


Veteran T.V, radio artist Mehmood Ali passed away
The prominent Radio and Television artist Mehmood Ali has passed away after suffering cardiac arrest late night on Saturday.
His daughter Any told that his two sons were living in Canada while one is in Saudi Arabia to offer Umra. His sons would arrive in the evening today. 
Mahmood Ali’s funeral prayer would be offered in Imambargah Rizvia Society after the Afternoon (Asar) prayers. 
The passing away of the very talented Mahmood Ali has left a void in the heart of the Pakistani drama industry that will be impossible to fill. 
Born in 1928 in Hyderabad Deccan, Mahmood started his illustrious media career with All India Radio in 1945. He became a part of Radio Pakistan during independence, where he was associated with numerous plays. 
On the acting front, Mahmood Ali went on to be part of a multitude of stage and television plays, his magnum opus being the 1969 production, "Taleem-e-Balighan' - a political satire, that will go down in history as the most influential television plays of Pakistan. And many other notable plays include Khuda Ki Basti, Mirza Ghalib on Bunder Road and Zair, Zabar, Paish.
The veteran, over the course of his outstanding career, won a number of accolades for his contribution to the field of acting - including the highest civil award, the pride of performance in 1985.
Known for his affectionate outlook on television playing mild roles, Mahmood Ali leaves behind a multitude of fans and a glorious body of work - making him immortal. The actor is survived by three sons and a daughter.
