Khayyam Sarhadi Is No More With Us



















Famous legend actor of Pakistan TV history Khayyam Sarhadi died due to heart attack. On Thursday 03/02/2011 evening after coming back to his home from a TV drama shooting, he felt pain in his heart which was heart attack.He was 63. His funeral prayers will be offered at his residence here after Juma prayers. He started his career from theatre and later joined Pakistan Radio but he got fame from number of TV plays like Waris, Anokha Ladla and Man Chale Ka Soda. The actor also performed in three movies including Dakoo and Bobby but he left the film industry. The actor is survived by two widows and three daughters.

ACTOR RIZWAN WASTI IS DEAD

He is survived by his wife Tahira Wasti, herself an actress of repute, two sons and a daughter, Laila Wasti, also a known showbiz personality.
Rizwan Wasti was born in Lahore and belonged to a highly educated family. He lent his baritone voice to a variety of radio programmes and acted in several plays on PTV in the `60s, `70s and `80s, but it was his performance in the drama serial Shama (adapted from an A.R. Khatoon novel by Fatima Surrayya Bajia) that catapulted him to fame.
Apart from many long plays and drama series, his acting skills in Aagahi, Uroosa and Abgeene were received with critical acclaim.

Rizwan Wasti was one of those actors who used the cadence of his voice to remarkable success, an art that he mastered while working for Radio Pakistan. He was also a banker.
His death has left the acting fraternity of the country sad. Talking to actor Talat Hussain said, “He was a distinguished name in the broadcasting world, a man who had his own distinct style. He was also a straightforward and honest individual.”
Actor Behroz Sabzwari said: “He had a great personality and was a learned person. He was a cultured and classy human being, something that`s a rarity in today`s world. My colleagues and I learnt a lot from him.”

Noted director and producer Kazim Pasha said, “He was an extremely devoted artist. He would keep learning the script on the sets and never sit idle. He`d remain in character even after the shooting would end. He was part of some of the most memorable plays in the history of Pakistani television.”

Ary Digital Drama Mein Chaand Si

Main chand si is a moving story highlighting the consequences of self-obsession. As story revolves around a pivotal character of irsah, belonging to a modern but middle class family. She always have a dream to get married to a filthy rich guy, of which she is confident, as she assume herself to be the most beautiful creature on this earth. Her dream comes true when she gets married to salaar, belonging to a high class family. But differences start to prosper, when irsah couldn’t adopt the culture and strict social values of his family. Basit, the brother-in-law of irsah plays a negative role and creates a fuss between irsah and salaar, that ultimately leads to their divorce. For irsah, divorce proves out to be a long awaited news; as she was also fed up of the conservative approach of salaar’s family. After this divorce, irsah gets married to farhan towards whom she remained inclined since long. But the decision turns into the biggest blunder of her life as she remained unaware of the fact that farhan is hiv+ and ultimately the same transmits into her. On the contrary, salaar stars off a new and pious life with fatima.
