Rahat Kazmi was born on June 30, 1946, in Simla, India. Rahat’s father was a lawyer by profession, and he wanted his son to follow his footsteps. Rahat completed his high school education in Rawalpindi.He successfully completed and received his law degree in Lahore. Additionally, Rahat received his master’s degree in political science from Government college and a master’s degree in English literature from Punjab university.Rahat started his working life as an information officer in 1968 in the Pakistani civil services. After serving for eight years, Rahat resigned from the civil services in 1976.Rahat’s profound love of acting took him irresistibly to the forefront of Pakistani entertainment. Rahat’s first stab at acting came when he was studying for his Bachelors in Government college, Lahore. Likewise, Rahat’s first Lahore television appearance was in 1965 when he participated in a university program.In 1967, Rahat took part in a Rawalpindi television quiz show known as ‘Mayaar.’ Further, Rahat lent a well-balanced and modulated performance in the 1967 Rawalpindi television play ‘Goonge.'Rahat Kazmi is a famous Pakistani television actor, talk-show anchor, a professional speaker and an academician. He is married to renowned Pakistani actress, producer and director Saira Kazmi whom he fell in love when he started his acting career. He has two children from Saira, Ali Kazmi and Nida Kazmi. Jamal Shah (Pashto, Persian, Urdu: جمال شاہ) is an actor, a director, a painter, and a social worker. He was born in 1956 in Quetta,Balochistan, Pakistan.
Jamal Shah, a professor of Fine Arts in a University at Quetta, started his acting career from Quetta TV Station. He was married to Feryal Gohar Shah (and are now separated?).
Jamal appeared as the lead role (with Talat Hussain) in British TV's English play "Traffic." When not acting or educating, Jamal Shah arranges exhibitions of his paintings.

Jamal was also part of Madiha Gohar's team that has a mission to educate the poor masses in Pakistan through plays. So they do English stage plays (I wonder what's the English literacy rate in their poor audience).

In 1984 he established the Fine Arts Department at the University of Balochistan and headed the department for three years. in 1985 he formed the Artists Association of Balochistan and became the first Chairman of Artists Association of Pakistan.

Jamal Shah obtained a Master's in English literature from Balochistan University, Quetta, Balochistan in 1978 and in 1983 an NDA, National College of Arts, Lahore. He later obtained a Masters in Fine Arts from the Slade School of Art in London.

He is currently the director of HunerKada art academy in Islamabad which he founded in 1992 and Telenor Brand Ambassador doing Television Productions (Hunerkada Productions) his latest upcoming Drama is "Girdaab".

Being an actor, he performed in many TV serials as well as a renowned mini series titled Traffik produced by Britain's Channel 4 about illegal drugs and the role of Pakistan, Germany and Britain in its production, transportation and usage. Traffik was nominated for six BAFTAAwards, winning three. It also won an International Emmy Award for best drama

He has also starred in the film K2 from 1992, directed by Franc Roddam.

In 2005 Jamal Shah was responsible for the Pavilion in the Pakistan section of the World exposition in Aichi Japan.

In 2007 He became the Executive Director of Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA).

fter getting divorced from his 1st wife, Faryal Gohar, he is now married to Amna Shah, a former student and now teacher of Hunerkada College of Visual and Performing Arts, they are loving parents of 2 children,daughter Mina Shah and a son Syed Mayyan Mohummed Shah
